So as the title may suggest, I have good news and bad news…

THE GOOD NEWS

Chapter 7 of The Selkie has been finished! The boyfriend is currently away so no distractions = more creative writing time! I hope you all like it as it looks quite long!

THE BAD NEWS

I cannot, for whatever reason, log in to AFF.net… I have no idea why, I’ve tried resetting my password and still nothing… I’ve posted on their technical forum and hope I can get a reply soon! It worked fine when it had the old layout..

So please know that it’s done.. just delayed due to technical issues..

Now I’m off to bed.. It’s 1:30am and I have work in the morning :(

Hi guys, 

So I wanted to do an update as I haven’t done one in a while. I’m still working on Chapter 7. It’s been delayed due to a few things. First is my RSI. It flared back up during the holidays and so I couldn’t type and now that I’m back at work it’s flared up again as I’ve been doing displays. Displays = cutting out = RSI -.- 

Second was that I have had writers block. The main key points of the story I’m fine with, it’s all the stuff that happens in between that I’ve been having trouble with. Each time I write something, I reread it and feel it’s just not good enough so I rewrite it or add to it. Chapter 7 has been planned to be fairly long, covering the span of 2 weeks in the story. I’ve been using an old calender from last year to plan out the pacing and timing for events which has been helping me get past the writers block. Being back at work has also re-sparked my writing urges :) It’s even got me thinking of new ideas for stories (which is a good and a bad thing lol)

Third is that I’ve been trying to find the time to write (without people looking over my shoulder). I am incredibly self conscious about my writing and would be absolutely mortified if I knew anyone who read my stories lol. My boyfriend is away for a week so I will be making use of my time alone :) Does not help that when I do feel like writing and at my most creative is when I’m at work.. I don’t think they’d be too happy to find me writing HG/DM fan fictions when I’m meant to be working lol.

I hope everyone had a good New Years and Holidays. I hope to be updating The Selkie soon :)
